Don't just hit them with negative feedback all the time. Concentrate on positive feedback and use it to lead into things you would like to see changed/improved. In the book they do get into giving feedback that will produce results and it's been very helpful for me. I'd recommend reading The Effective Manager or maybe start with their podcasts to see if you like the advise. Just takes constant reminder and positive reinforcement. While we lack the wiring of neurotypical individuals, we absolutely can overcome some of the more detrimental side-effects. Trust me when I say that this has absolutely changed my life and most importantly has made me feel really good about myself and my future prospects. It's the positive dopamine hit your brain so desperately needs. You can see the progress you have made day-by-day, week-by-week. This is great because you can constantly open the moleskin and it not only provides you with the reminder you need, but its a way to provide yourself with positive reinforcement. From my calendar on my phone or reminders from my email. Then every Sunday, after breakfast, I sit down and plan out my following week. And I use this for things that come up during the week that I dont want to forget and to track my progress at the gym or at work. ![]() The page on the left is labeled "Daily Reminders" and under it I label a M/Tu/Wed/Thur/Fri/Sat/Sun. The page on the right is labeled "Weekly To-do's 09/06 - 09/12" and under it will be the goals that I am trying to get done that week. And in the moleskin I would take out two pages. About 8 weeks ago I started carrying around a moleskin with me everywhere. To jump off of what u/spankybacon is saying. While the normies or healthcare practitioners advice does lack empathy and instruction, it does not lack truth. This is the best piece of advice on here, OP. You will likely be surprised by the results. Step 4: Repeat this exercise every day, at least once per day.How does it feel? Are you laughing, joking around? Do you have butterflies in your stomach? Do you feel content, joyful, excited? Focus on the feelings that you would have if these things had already happened, and really try to feel the feelings. Focus on how it would feel to be hanging out with your friends. This is probably the most critical and important step. Step 3: When you're writing these (you can also just speak them, either out loud, or to yourself in your head) try to focus on the feeling that you would feel when these things were true.For example, "I am friends with people who like me and love hanging out with me." Or "I am dating someone that is great and a perfect match for me." Etc, etc. Step 2: Every day, preferably as soon as you wake up, write a few "I am" statements on a blank page in the notebook.Here is what I would do if I were in your situation. I get compliments everywhere I go and I would totally take it into an office. The second one looks nice, but you can see the edges of the notebooks in the opening. I still use the inserts from the first one. My second one is no longer available, this is the creator's website: My original one was $25, but I wanted a nicer one and it was probably $120, but it looks nicer which may or may not be important to you. This way you can have long term and short term notebooks together. This is a piece of leather or cloth that has strings in it to hold multiple notebooks. The second is to keep a traveler's notebook. ![]() You can also keep your projects digitally and just put notes in your journal throughout the day. So migrating the notes from a meeting that's over is fine, but if you keep a long term project both in your journal and digitally then you will waste time and possibly miss something. The problem with having things in two places is that you have to add everything to both places which is a waste of time. The key is never have things in two places, unless you're storing something. I have a digital and analog marriage in my life. So, back up your meeting notes so you don't have to migrate them and can search them digitally. ![]() Option one is to back things up digitally at home. I see two options, depending on your needs.
